Introduction to Organic Gardening Workshop

Learn how to grow nutritious food in this introductory gardening workshop run from Solscapes own backyard. A unique opportunity for hands-on, organic learning from a working permaculture garden.

This workshop is designed to help you start your edible garden from scratch and keep a steady flow of food from garden to plate. 

During the day we will cover no dig principles, composting and worm farming, planning and zoning your garden, planting and harvesting, companion planting crop rotation, watering and food storing and drying.

Shai has been landscaping for the past 15 years, and for the last 10 of them he has been dedicated to organic food growing and landscaping in a holistic and sustainable manner utilising permaculture principles. Shai has run large scale market gardens/orchards and currently is the general manager for Solscape where he grows organic produce to supply kai to the onsite vegan kitchen/cafe Conscious Kitchen. Shai completed  his PDC a few years back and started his own business, called Edible Landscapes offering an organic and holistic approach to mainstream landscaping, creating more resilience and food abundance.

Workshop will run from 9am to 5pm 4th of July

Cost is $120 Please bring something for a shared lunch.
